The Centraal Museum in Utrecht is organising contemporary art exhibitions in Oud-Amelisweerd, a country house on the outskirts of the city of Utrecht. Since 2022 exhibitions of renowned artists are presented on the first floor of Landhuis Oud-Amelisweerd.
In 2025, this special location hosts a duo exhibition of Evi Vingerling and Katja Mater. Paintings by Vingerling are presented alongside Mater's conceptual, cross-disciplinary works. Despite their distinct approaches, both artists share a deep fascination with the experience of time and space. They are both particularly sensitive to the unexpected poetry of the moment, and through themes such as belonging and grief, Vingerling and Mater draw from their own experiences, inviting introspection and self-reflection.
Evi Vingerling and Katja Mater join the programme of exhibitions in Amelisweerd, following the preceding shows of Amie Dicke, Marijke van Warmerdam, Hannah van Bart, Han Schuil, Ansuya Blom and Rory Pilgrim. This programme is a partner project of Hartwig Art Foundation.
